Our Story

Family-Owned Farming Tradition

At Workhorse Ridge, we honor the courage of our Norwegian ancestors who founded this farm in 1867. Through hard work, stewardship, and respect for the land, we craft high-quality meats and goods that connect our community to the rich heritage of our family farm.

About Us

We are a husband and wife team with a dream to raise livestock and grow delicious, nutritious food. We are high school sweethearts who both grew up farming alongside our families in the beautiful Driftless Region. After a few years of living in Washington, D.C., we returned to Wisconsin with a newfound love of the place we call home. We're learning a lot as we're getting started with our farming journey, but one thing we know for sure is we have a deep appreciation for the land we live on and those that work it.
